​​I’ve spent most of my life on a dance floor—from my early beginnings in South Africa to performances in some of the world’s most iconic ballrooms. As a former champion and now as a coach, adjudicator, and mentor, I’ve had the privilege of experiencing this beautiful art form from multiple perspectives over many decades.

But dance, while deeply woven into my life, is only part of my story.

Away from the spotlight, I’m a wife, mother to a vibrant and witty teenage daughter, and the proud owner of a beloved family dog who frequently keeps our feet on the ground. Our home life is filled with warmth, humour, and the delightful chaos of everyday moments—a perfect balance to the elegance and precision of the dance world.

These days, family rightly takes priority, meaning I don’t travel as extensively as before. However, whenever the opportunity arises, I still greatly enjoy teaching and adjudicating internationally—it's a part of my professional life I deeply cherish.

Now, my passion lies equally in legacy as it does in competition. Beyond technique, I strive to instil values such as tradition, kindness, and quiet excellence. I firmly believe that genuine presence is more powerful than performance alone, and how we carry ourselves—both on and off the dance floor—shapes our world profoundly.
